NEW BORN BABY GIRL LEFT OUTSIDE A TEMPLE IN SILIGURI SHAKTIGARH

Today at around 2.30 pm someone left a new born baby girl outside the gate of Shaktigargh Sri Keshav Gouswami Goudiya Math in Siliguri. After hearing the baby's cries, she was noticed by the preists of the math (temple). Later after feeding the baby, the priests called 100 and handed over the baby to the local police.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.
