School student dies after a ball hit him while he was playing cricket with his friends in Jalpaiguri

A school student died after a ball hit him while he was playing cricket with his friends in Jalpaiguri.
The class V student Arjun Adhikari was seriously injured while he was hit by the ball and taken to the Sadar hospital.
He died next day morning.
His family lodged a complaint with the police that Arjun died due to negligence of the doctors in the hospital.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.
