Rs. 9,47,000 Old Currency Notes Seized from Sikkim Car, 4 arrested from Darjeeling More in Siliguri

Acting on top off Siliguri police have seized a huge amount of old currency notes from four suspects. Pradhannagar Police arrested four suspicious persons, namely Param Bahadur Darnal (Rajib nagar), Ram Shankar Kushwha (Bhind, MP), Pasang Tamang (Tadong,  Sikkim) and Bikram Kalikote (Dooars) from Darjeeling more area in the morning. They were charged under section 41 of Cr. P.C. and section 102 of Cr.P.C.

Police seized total Rs. 9,47,000 old high denomination currency notes (Rs 500 × 1494= Rs 747000, Rs 1000 × 200= Rs 200000) from their possession which were concealed inside a Celerio vehicle bearing number SK 01 PA 7570.
