India exports 2281 metric tonnes high speed diesel to Bangladesh from Siliguri terminal

Public sector oil company Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) dispatched  2281 metric tonnes (MT) of HSD from its Marketing Terminal in Siliguri on Thursday. 

The consignment will travel over 500 kms on the existing railway line via Rangapani, Singabad, Rohanpur to reach Parbartipur depot of petroleum in Bangladesh’s Dinajpur district, it adds. 

Earlier, Assam-based NRL and Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) had signed a Sale-Purchase Agreement. 

The deal includes a joint initiative for construction of a 131 km long pipeline, with a capacity of 1.0 million Metric Ton per annum (MMTPA), from Siliguri to Parbatipur.
