Social Worker Jashoda Chettri from Gangtok injured in road accident near Shirdi in Pune

According to sources, the driver of the car she was travelling in has died in the accident, and Ms. Chettri is undergoing tests at City Hospital Nasik to determine the extent of her injuries.

Ms. Jashoda Chettri is one of those rare individuals who have always put others before self. Her voluntarism has touched many lives, not only in Sikkim, but across India. Even though she is actively involved with the Rotary Club of Sikkim, she is also associated with numerous other community-based organizations. She is a prolific writer and has contributed numerous articles on socio-political issues in Sikkim.

We are hopeful that she will recover at the earliest, and regain her health soon.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.

Several dead bodies of children found in Thailand with their organs removed

Yesterday at 8pm the Thailand Govt found a Van with 100’s of Malaysian dead childrens without Organs in their bodies. Their organs were removed n sold. The bodies are wraped in plastics.
