Sikkim police does it again - Huge drug haul at Siliguri-Sikkim border town Rangpo

Rangpo police has again busted contraband substances at Check Post wherein one individual identified as Barun Darjee, alias Anil 29 years r/o Rumtek East Sikkim was arrested for possession of 576 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon and 90 tablets of Nitrosun 10. He was probably coming from Siliguri with the contraband.

Update:

Rangpo Police have arrested one Barun Darjee @ Anil (29), R/O Rumtek, East Sikkim following recovery of substantial quantity of contraband drugs from his possession. 

The individual was travelling in Siliguri - Rumtek bound vehicle and was intercepted at Rangpo Border Check Post at about 7 pm yesterday evening. 596 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon, 90 tablets of Nitrazepam and a bottle of contraband cough syrup was recovered from his possession. 

A case under relevant section of Sikkim Anti Drugs Act, 2006 has been registered against him.

Biker Dead in Sikkim Accident

A biker succumbed to injury at Mining in Rangpo Sikkim accident which  took place around 8:10am in morning. Deceased biker name is MB Rai hailing from Rangpo who is a businessman by profession. Cause of accident is due to collision with a Passanger Service Vehcile Max heading towards Siliguri from Mangan. According to eye witnesses the bike hit the vehcile while overtaking.
