Sikkim: Sushil Tamang to receive Telegraph True Legends Awards 2016 Northeast
Sushil Tamang (34) the Founder and President of Darap Eco-Tourism Committee, Sikkim will be conferred with the “Telegraph True Legends Awards 2016 Northeast” on September 2nd, 2016 in an event which will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel at Guwahati. The award is one of its kind in the Northeast which recognises the outstanding perseverance, contribution and dedication made by the citizens to overcome obstacles and create a platform for themselves to serve better for the society. Along with Tamang, other 11 True Legends will also be conferred with the award who have worked towards social betterment and creating a safe environment for others. The award event will be graced by the different eminent personalities as reported.
Sushil Tamang will also deliver a short address on his journey towards making a difference in the lives of the countless people in need and his experiences in working towards the betterment of the environment and development of the Northeast. Sushil Tamang is also a Sikkim State Awardee, he was conferred with the prestigious Sikkim Sewa Samman in the year 2013 for his immense contribution to the filed of entrepreneurship in Sikkim. He is basically from Darap village of West Sikkim, and the son of Late. C.Tamang and Menuka Tamang. He completed his schooling from Darap Secondary School and Pelling Senior Secondary School and his graduation from St. Joseph’s College, Darjeeling. He later also completed his Masters in Business Administration.
