Meet Paden Sherpa, a dynamic and inspiring woman entrepreneur from Sikkim

Paden and her husband Karma run Sikkim Telecom which is also a Channel Partner of Airtel for Sikkim since 2004.

Paden is a law graduate. She worked with Information Technology Department for one year before quitting her job to involve herself fully into telecom venture.

When asked if she regrets leaving her job, Paden says she does not though she admits that running your own business is not easy but at the end of the day, it gives you immense satisfaction when you face challenges and emerge triumphant.
She urges women to become entrepreneurs and take advantage of the numerous women centric schemes of the State and Central government.

Paden adds that being in the telecom industry is not easy. The cut throat competition makes life difficult but with patience and faith, one can overcome hurdles. She is a mother of two sons. Paden believes that women can achieve their dreams and aspirations if they learn to balance their career and family.

She informs that at home she is like any other woman who cooks, cleans and even takes care of the pets. Paden is an animal lover and some day she plans to start a shelter for stray dogs.

On International Youth Day, we are happy to share the story of a young entrepreneur like Paden and we hope she will inspire other women to be independent and successful entrepreneurs.
