Lieutenant General Sanjay Kumar Jha, AVSM, YSM, SM takes over as GOC Trishakti Corps

Lieutenant General Sanjay Kumar Jha, AVSM, YSM,SM has taken over the reins of Trishakti Corps on 26 Aug 2016 from Lieutenant General Surinder Singh, AVSM, VSM. Lieutenant General Sanjay Kumar Jha, AVSM, YSM,SM was commissioned in 1980 in 17th Battalion The Sikh Regiment.

In a career spanning 36 years, the General Officer has held various prestigious appointments in the field of operations, administration and logistics in all kinds of terrain. He has commanded a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Sector of Assam Rifles and a Mountain Division. He has also served as Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of an Infantry Brigade in the UN Mission at Congo. He has attended prestigious Higher Command Course and is a graduate of the National Defence College. For his selfless service, the General Officer has been awarded with Ati Vishist Seva Medal, Yudh Seva Medal, Sena Medal, GOC-in-C Commendation Card (twice) and VCOAS Commendation Card.

After taking over the Trishakti Corps, he laid a wreath at the War Memorial in honour of the martyred soldiers.
