5 mega Hydel power projects scrapped in Sikkim

The State cabinet which met on Saturday at Samman Bhawan here have terminated the memorandum of understanding with five mega hydel power projects proposed in east, west and north districts.
According to an IPR release, the cabinet scrapped the agreements for the 330 Mw Teesta Stage-II and 150 mw Rangma hydro electric power project in North Sikkim. The project scrapped in west district was the 27.5 Mw Kalez Khola hydro electric power project in West Sikkim. Similarly, the memorandum of agreements for the 30 Mw Gnathangchu and 30 Mw Tsanguchu hydro electric power projects were terminated by the cabinet.
The cabinet also sanctioned Rs. 28.87 lakh for procurement of materials for Soreng and Rothak substations and Rs. 32.50 lakh for for refurbishment including augmentation of power supply and distribution system at Tashiding monastery.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.

Several dead bodies of children found in Thailand with their organs removed

Yesterday at 8pm the Thailand Govt found a Van with 100’s of Malaysian dead childrens without Organs in their bodies. Their organs were removed n sold. The bodies are wraped in plastics.
