Showing exemplary courage, a 10-year-old boy from Jehanabad, Bihar risked his life and saved four girls from drowning in a river. Some girls from Gopalpur village in Jehanabad, while crossing a river on their way back home from school, slipped and fell into the river. 10 year old Vipin, who saw the girls struggling in the strong current of the river, jumped into the river and one by one tried to save each of the girls. While in succeeded in saving four of them, two girls were washed away in the incident.
Vipin, who without thinking twice risked his own life to save the girls was assured a felicitation by the district administration. Northeast Today salutes brave souls like Vipin.
