Woman dead in Sikkim accident - 2 others injured

Taxi car accident at Namli near 9th mile under Ranipul Police Station along NH10 , 3 seriously injured taken to hospital.

Taxi Alto Car 800 was moving from Singtam towards Gangtok. The car fell nearly 100 feet down near Smileland main gate close to 9th Mile along NH10.

There were two ladies in the vehicle along with the driver. One lady succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital whereas the other lady and driver injured, have been admitted in hospital.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.
