Heavy rains likely to lash all parts of North Bengal districts in coming 2-3 days: Met department
The weatherman today forecast moderate thunderstorm with lightning to affect some areas in Gangetic West Bengal, while the northern districts of the state are likely to be lashed by heavy rains.
The districts of Gangetic West Bengal are likely to receive moderate thunderstorm till tomorrow, the Met department said.
These districts in south Bengal are likely to remain cloudy with one or two showers in the following three days, after which precipitation level is likely to get higher, the weatherman said.
Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Alipurduar and Kalimpong districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal during the next three days.
The districts of Gangetic West Bengal experienced heavy rainfall last week leading to floods in many of these places.
Rainfall activity has since decreased and most places received little or moderate rains for the last few days.
