Teesta flowing above danger level in Bangladesh
Some 14 villages in Dimla upazila were inundated on Monday as the Teesta River was flowing above the red mark.
Bangladesh Water Development Board Executive Engineer at Dalia Shahidar Rahman said the river was flowing 20cm above the danger level since 1pm on Monday due to onrush of water from India and incessant rain in the district for the last three days.
The gushing water submerged some 14 villages in Tapakharibari and Charkharibari unions, he said.
