Nathula Border Trade for Year 2017 Starts


The Indo-China Border Trade entered into its 11th edition and as per schedule, the trade through Nathula resumed its trade from Monday for the year 2017.

The opening of the Trade was attended by Director, S.K.Pradhan, Joint Secretary Pempo T.Pulger, Commerce & Industries Department and officers of Central and State Agencies involved in Nathula Trade Border.

The team of Officers and Traders reached Sherathang-Nathula Border at 10.00 am. Director, Commerce & Industries Department declared Nathula Border Trade open for the year 2017 and the trade commenced for the current year. The trading days are from Monday to Thursday and the Trade will resume till November 30th, 2017.

Despite inclement weather and heavy showers, the officials of both the Central and State Agencies reached Nathula and declared the Trade open for the year 2017. As usual it is expected that the Border Trade will be carried out smoothly and peacefully.
