Massive fire engulfs 10-15 shops at Birpara Dinbazar in Dooars today morning at 10am

A massive fire broke out near the fish market (old bus stand) at Dinbazar in Birpara Dooars today morning at 10 am.

As per sources some 10-15 shops have been burnt down and around the same number of people have been injured.

Sources say the fire started after short circuit from a wooden construction shop which used to sell thermacol and plastic goods.

Soon it engulfed other shops nearby.

Since Birpara has no fire brigade, the same was called from Dhupguri which is around 23kms away from here.

The fire was taken under control by 11am but huge damages have been incured. No casualties.

If Birpara had a fire brigade, the fire would have been put off much before and the huge loss which took place could have been averted. Please share this so Birpara gets it much needed fire station soon.
