Sikkim Man Drowns in Rangeet River

A 41-Year old man from Samatar, South Sikkim drowned in river Rangeet at Dong Tokal on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim had reportedly gone to the bank of river Rangeet at Dong Tokal for picnic with his friends where he was swept by river current while taking bath.

By the time he was pulled out of the river with help from nearby labourers, he was already dead.

A case of unnatural death has been registered at Jorethang Police Station.
