Over speeding Siliguri Bagdogra bus crushes bike under its wheels at Shivmandir near Siliguri

A little while ago today afternoon a speeding local bus plying on route Siliguri to Bagdogra hits a biker badly near Elina nursing home, Shivmandir in Siliguri.
The rider badly injured has been rushed to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital NBMCH by locals.
Meanwhile both the driver and conductor on fear of beaten up by locals have fled from the spot.
The bus bears name Pratima Diya Travels bearing registration number WB73A7304
Update: Eyewitness says the rider was dragged by the bus for several meters before it stopped. Rider was just 10% in his senses with severe injuries in his chest. Head was partially saved because of the helmet. A white colour SUV was stopped which took the injured rider to Medical. If anyone knows him kindly inform his family members. Please Share.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.
