Minor Girl Lured by Showing a Chocolate Gang Raped Inside A Moving Vehicle In South Kolkata

In a shocking case, a minor girl was allegedly gang-raped inside a moving vehicle in the southern part of the Kolkata's Gariahat area.

According to the police, the men lured the girl into the vehicle with chocolate. Once she was inside the vehicle they took turns to gang rape the girl, a police officer said. Investigators said one person has been detained for his alleged involvement in the incident. 

Police have also seized the vehicle in which the crime was committed.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. The girl has been sent for medical tests," he said.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.
