3rd Mai Valley Gold Cup: Nepal Army Club Beats KFC Siliguri To Enter Semifinals


Nepal Army entered semifinals in 3rd Mai Valley gold cup as they defeated Kanchanjunga FC Siliguri 2-1 in Ilam on Saturday. 
 
Army took the lead through Rajiv Gurung in 45+2 minute. After the break, Bharat Khawas scored for Army in 77th minute. KFC cut the deficit through Pemba bin 86th minute but couldn't overcome the loss. 

Army skipper Bharat Khawas became the man of the match. He received Rs 7,000 cash. 

Jhapa XI FC will take on Rupandehi XI in the second quarterfinal match tomorrow.

Mai Valley FC & Ilam DFA are jointly organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 4 lakhs.
