When will condition of roads in Sikkim get better? People getting killed frequently in accidents

A road condition between Rangpo and Roarathang is like a hell bent , it's a same road near Kumrek this morning Taxi Service Bolero met an accident where 11 occupant sustained injury and 3 years old was well doing with no injury.

The road is havoc deadly all along the kilometers long stretch.
The heavy trucks and lorries of pharma companies, Hydel Project cargo trucks / trailers have left no inch of road space well and good.

Despite callous by public no any attention has been paid to maintain this road past many years.

If unattended and un-maintained it's likely more accidents could happen. The road is so narrow and gorges are deep down unto river that by chance during a monsoon a portion of land gets slipped then result would be devastating.

Today's incident must be eye opening to authority for immediate maintenance of road to avoid accidents ahead.

Many vehicles from hundreds to thousands a day ply towards destination Rongli, Rhenock, Roarathang, Padamchey, Chujachen, Aritar, Pakyong, Zuluk , Pedong, Algarah. Also army vehcile ply towards Nathula and Tsomgo in plenty.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.

Largest casino chain Deltin enters Sikkim

The country's largest casino chain Deltin Group said it opened its first facility at Gangtok, capital of Sikkim, under the brand name of Casino Deltin Denzong.  The casino, at the Denzong Regency hotel situated 6,000-feet above sea level and offering a breathtaking view of the world's third highest peak Mt Kanchenjuga, comes with 169 gaming positions spread across two levels.  Deltin already runs Asia's largest floating casino, Deltin Royale and also the country's first casino flotel, Deltin Caravela in Goa.  Delta Corp got the licence last July from Denzong Regency Hotel to run the run casino at its premises on lease, Ashish Kapadia, managing director of Delta Corp said.
