Ramdas Athawale arrives on 2-day visit to Sikkim - Tomorrow he will head for Darjeeling

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has arrived in Gangtok last night, on a two-day official visit to the state.

During his stay in Gangtok, the Union Minister will hold a review meeting with State Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Welfare Department Tulsi Devi here today.

The Union Minister is also scheduled to address a press conference after the meeting. He will visit the State Institute of Social Justice and Empowerment and also the Institute of Disabilities.

The visiting Minister will make courtesy calls on Governor Shriniwas Patil and Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling, today afternoon.

Mr Athawale will leave for Darjeeling on March 24.
