30 kgs of ganja recovered from Guwahati - 2 women arrested by GRP from Railway station

Railway Police recovered approximately 30 kgs of weed from two ladies travelling in Dibrugarh-Amritsar Express.

The accused are identified as Mona Khaklary Saha (30) and Sumitra Sorgiyary (35). Both are resident of Dimapur, Nagaland. 

In this regard, a case has been registered vide Ghy GRPS (Case no - 36/17 U/S-20 (C)/ 29 NDPS ACT. Both the accused are under judicial custody.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.
