Bengal CM to honour sports legends with Khel Samman today at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will honour sporting legends today at a function to be held at Netaji Indoor Stadium.

She will confer Khel Samman on 13 sportspersons, Banglar Gourab Samman on 15 sportspersons, Krira Guru Samman on 5 coaches. Samar Banerjee and Naresh Kumar will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Atanu Das, Soumyajit Ghosh, Mouma Das and Debasree Majumder will be honoured with ‘Bishesh Samman’ and Dipa Karmakar will be felicitated with ‘Ananya Samman’.

The CM will also distribute financial aid to 4000 new and 8653 old clubs for developing their sports infrastructure. This programme, launched in 2011-12 is aimed at developing sporting talent in the State.

আজ নেতাজি ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে একটি অনুষ্ঠানে বিশিষ্ট কৃতী ক্রীড়াবিদদের সম্মাননা জ্ঞাপন করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

১৩ জন ক্রীড়াবিদকে খেল সম্মান, ১৫ জন ক্রীড়াবিদকে বাংলার গৌরব সম্মান এবং ৫ জন কোচকে ক্রীড়া গুরুর সম্মান দেবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। সমর ব্যানার্জি ও নরেশ কুমারকে জীবনকৃতি সম্মান দেওয়া হবে।

অতনু দাস, সৌম্যজিত ঘোষ, মৌমা দাস এবং দেবশ্রী মজুমদারকে বিশেষ সম্মান এবং দীপা কর্মকারকে অনন্য সম্মান দেওয়া হবে।

৪০০০ টি নতুন এবং ৮৬৫৩ টি পুরনো ক্লাবকে তাদের ক্রীড়া পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের জন্য আর্থিক অনুদান প্রদান করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। রাজ্যের ক্রীড়া পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের জন্য ২০১১-১২ আর্থিক বছর থেকে এই কর্মসূচি শুরু হয়েছে।

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.

Several dead bodies of children found in Thailand with their organs removed

Yesterday at 8pm the Thailand Govt found a Van with 100’s of Malaysian dead childrens without Organs in their bodies. Their organs were removed n sold. The bodies are wraped in plastics. They were caught by the Thai govt. Pls becareful with ur children wheather they are going to school, shoping, functions, playgrounds. Pls! Be with them. Dont trust any known or unknown people with your children. Do not let them play alone or go with strangers anywhere. Take Care all childrens.
