Youth arrested from Bagdogra with firearm - Nepal police rescue 7 Indian bonded labourers

The Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB), 41-battalion, apprehended one person and seized one 0.22 revolver along with 26 rounds of cartridges including four live and machete from his possession in Naxalbari-Bagdogra Road yesterday. The person has been identified as Md Tamim, a resident of North Dinajpur district. In another development, Nepal Police rescued seven persons including two minors, who had been allegedly trafficked to the country froth India. They are residents of Malbazar of Jaipaiguri district . According to the SSB officials, they were rescued from a brick kiln in Mahottri district of Nepal. The rescued persons were brought to Panitanki border out post, near Indo-Nepal border yesterday.
