A tea estate in West Bengal's Siliguri has suspended functioning due to cash crunch after demonetisation of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes last month. The management of Tirrihannah tea estate, situated in Naxalbari block of Darjeeling district, closed down operations after workers refused to work due to non-payment of their dues.
