Huge quantity of Heroin seized by Sikkim Police at Melli, youth was coming from Siliguri

A 31-Year old man has been arrested by Melli Police in Sikkim following recovery of 33 pouches of Heroin from his possession. The accused, identified as Bimal Thapa of Namchi Power Colony was intercepted by the police while coming back from Siliguri.

Melli Police have registered a case under relevant section of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 against him and the case is under investigation.

Melli is a border small town between Sikkim and West Bengals Siliguri region.
