Deadly accident between 2 buses near Bagdogra, over 2 dozen injured, both drivers dead said sources

Two buses traveling between Panitanki and Siliguri collided face to face at full speed near Bagdogra today evening at 6pm. Locals say both the drivers are dead as when their bodies were being taken out, they were lifeless. As much as two dozen people have sustained injuries said sources. Blood stains could be seen all over the buses. The incident took place at Singhi Jhora near Bagdogra.
Today morning similar accident had taken place just nearby where a biker was killed by the speeding bus.

Middle age man commits suicide by jumping infront of a train near Siliguri

A man said to be in his forties jumped in front of a local train heading to Katihar from Siliguri junction today morning around 11am near Naxalbari station at Panitanki outpost. The body of the man was cut into two halves. Sources say the deceased looks like a Nepali and could be a resident of Nepal as the incident took place near India-Nepal border. The train was immediately stopped after the incident. The body was later recovered by the railway staff and sent for post mortem. Train services resumed after a delay of 30 minutes said sources.

The country's largest casino chain Deltin Group said it opened its first facility at Gangtok, capital of Sikkim, under the brand name of Casino Deltin Denzong.  The casino, at the Denzong Regency hotel situated 6,000-feet above sea level and offering a breathtaking view of the world's third highest peak Mt Kanchenjuga, comes with 169 gaming positions spread across two levels.  Deltin already runs Asia's largest floating casino, Deltin Royale and also the country's first casino flotel, Deltin Caravela in Goa.  Delta Corp got the licence last July from Denzong Regency Hotel to run the run casino at its premises on lease, Ashish Kapadia, managing director of Delta Corp said.
