14 year boy burnt to death as godown with fire crackers catches fire in Bengal town

Today morning 3 rooms filled with fire crackers caught fire in a residential building in which a class IX student age 14 years was charred to death at Duttapukur town in North 24-Parganas, West Bengal.

The student was hired as to guard the godown from today morning itself. Soon as fire spread Fire Brigade reached the spot but till then everything was burnt down. The boy was engulfed by fire and was unable to escape. He has been identified as Rahul Das from a poor family of Jagannathpur area of Duttapukur town.

The godown owner has been arrested by the police for storing fire crackers in a residential building without any legal papers and permission.
