More Rains To Lash Bengal In Next 2 Days

The state to witness heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours. Weather forecast suggests torrential downpour in several districts, including Kolkata. Alipore Meteorological Department issued safety warnings for the upcoming two days. Wednesday morning saw overcast skies and inundated streets. The rainfall is the result of a cyclonic depression in the north of West Bengal, said Alipore weather department. Therefore, North 24 Parganas, Nadia and other districts will receive heavy rainfall.
The cyclonic depression started taking its form on Sunday, causing incessant rains since Monday evening. Parts of the city remain submerged and waterlogged. The condition hasn’t improved much till Wednesday.
