CM announces a number of projects today

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announced a number of projects for North Bengal today at Kalimpong.
CM writes:
On the invitation of the West Bengal Mayel Lyang Lepcha Development Board, I took part in their 5th Foundation Day celebration at Kalimpong today.
It was a very colourful event with the local people turning out in huge numbers in their traditional attire. A beautiful cultural programme was presented on the occasion.
A number of projects, including the office of the new Tea Directorate in North Bengal at Siliguri, were flagged off today from the venue.
The Development Boards are doing good work and our Government is committed to supporting them. Today also, we gave funds to the Boards including the newly formed Kami, Sarki and Damai Boards for development work and preservation of the rich culture and traditional heritage of the indigenous communities. We will also set up Boards for my Bhujel, Khaas, Paharia Muslim and Newar brothers and sisters.
The hills are in my heart. I want the hills to prosper and keep smiling.
My best wishes to everyone.
