Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to inaugurate bouquet of projects from Kalimpong today


On the second day of her three-day trip to the Hills, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate a number of developmental projects.
Among the projects to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister today are the eight new cottages of the Kalimpong Tourist Lodge at Morgan House; a treasury building at Kalimpong; a marketing hub at Suruk-Samther in Kalimpong Block –I; the HDU unit at Kalimpong sub-divisional hospital; office of DSP (Traffic) and police barrack at Vimbore (Bidhannagar); police station and force barrack at Sukhiapokhri; a hall at the Darjeeling minority centre; roads in Phansidewa; beautification project around Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital; and office of the Tea Directorate at Hillcart Road.

Today, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone of the New Jalpaiguri police station and the community Hall at Lorungdhura in Jorbungalow .
The Chief Minister will also distribute services like cheques for Geetanjali, scholarships for Kanyashree among others.
