25-yr-old woman from Assam was rescued from Khalpara (red light area) in Siliguri

A 25 yrs old woman namely Ruksana ( name changed) from Bhakta Duba Assam was rescued from Khalpara (red light area) in Siliguri. She was lured by another woman who had sold her before fifteen days in a brothel in Siliguri.
Ruksana is a mother of four kids. Her husband had married another woman and had left her. She in anger had gone to work and earn her own living as a labour in a construction site in Guwahati where she met the other woman who promised her work with good income. The woman brought her to Siliguri and sold her in the brothel. After being sold Ruksana tried to take help from many people but she was beaten and tortured instead.
Kanchanjunga Uddhar Kendra had received information from a media person about another woman and her eight months old child in the red light area who wanted to come out. The team could not find the woman and the child as they were shifted to another unknown place. Ruksana was lucky to be rescued today. The rescue operation was done with the help of Khalpara OC Mr.Sanjay Ghosh and his team. I would like to thank the police team for their co-operation. Without them this operation would not have been successful.
Pls pray for that we can rescue the woman and the child who were untraceable soon.
